![]() ![]() I'm not sure how many rooms they have for rent but the room I was assigned was down the street a couple of doors and up in an old apartment building (this is Centro, all buildings are old). Artfully decorated and the owners and staff are very professional in their attitudes towards their guests. ![]() The building where the owners check you in is on the second floor of a very nice old building. Its very close walk to the Prado and the old town. Lots of people in the street, some great hidden gems for restaurants and bars if you are willing to explore. As the name implies the casa is on Consulado Street which is one of the great streets in Centro Havana. This casa was a bit of a surprise so I will try to give an appropriate review so you can decide if it is the right place for you. Reading others comment about the hostel you can also read their arrogand answer to the one with not so good review, and after staying there, we can confirm that some of the staff are really arrogant and that can be proove if they will answer to this review too :) They have breakfast, not included, but very expensive comparing to the other option you can find in the city. But you can take the public bus P12 and pay only 10 CUP (less than 0.5 CUC) for 2 persons. For taxi from/to the airport they initially ask 30 CUC and after that 25 CUC (it seems that 25 CUC is the asked price for others too). the person at the hostel organize tours but everything are very expensive comparing other offers we found in the city. the advantage of the hostel : it is placed at a walking distance to the main streets of city center and to the seashore. the room was pretty dirty, and the bathroom (private but external) have the door directly to the kitchen. at the appartment there is an elevator but for every issue like check in / check out / information you have to go to the different building where is the hostel. at the hostel there is no elevator so you have to climb the stairs one floor to the reception. ![]() That room has no windows (there is one actually but is permanently covered and the natural light could not come inside the room). We booked a room in a hostel and we receive a room in an appartment on the same street. ![]()
